Antelope and more

Well what's been going on with us lately. We left for Arizona September 7th, and yes we are still here, well Colby is in New Mexico. On our way down I got to visit my brother in St. George and meet his adorable little puppy. We started in Seligman, Arizona. That was quite the adventure. We started by staying in this really nice hotel full of spiders and roaches. Yes, very gross, so Colby's dad saved us and brought the trailer up. After that things got much better. Colby shot his antelope on the second day of the hunt. We headed down to Gilbert after that so that they could get ready for his dad's elk hunt. In the meantime we celebrated Colby's mom's birthday and enjoyed the wonderful Arizona heat. Wednesday, last week Colby and his dad left for an elk hunt in New Mexico. I have been staying with my mom, visiting old friends, going to the lake, shopping, eating at all my favorite places they do not have in Idaho and celebrated my mom's birthday. I'm having such a good time and if I didn't miss Colby so much I would say, go hunting all the time. But I do miss him and I am ready for him to get his buns back to Gilbert. Here are a few pictures of the antelope and John's dog.

Allie's Wedding.

This last week Colby and I went to Arizona for his sister Allie's wedding. It was a much needed trip to Arizona. Colby took the DAT and we got to visit with some family. Here are some pictures of the wedding, we were slackers on taking pictures this trip because there were so many other people taking pictures. Now that the wedding and DAT are done, we have a lot of hunting to do. So we turn right back around and drive down to Arizona this next week.
This is a drawing of Allie and Max.
One of Colby's favorite parts of the trip was seeing Kylie and Shane's deer.

Graduation

July 23rd was graduation and I am so happy to be done with all those credits. A few days before graduation I double, triple and quadruple checked everything to make sure that I didn't somehow forget to take a final or something. And the day after graduation I felt like I didn't have time to enjoy family being here cause I needed to study or do homework. My mom, Colby's parents and Lacey came here for graduation. Since there is not much to do here we had to make do, so we went to the elk ranch many times, went fishing, went to the temple, saw a movie and just hung out, it was a fun weekend. Thanks so much to everyone who came and to everyone who support me through my many credits I love you all. Here are some pictures to commemorate the moment haha.

Weekend Events

This weekend we had a ward camp out. It was fun making smores' and tin foil dinners. This year we decided to change things up and make fajitas as our tin foil dinners. We put chicken, steak, peppers, and onions in the tin foil, and then brought some tortillas. We brought our projector and bishop brought a white sheet so we could all watch a movie. Colby and I slacked on getting our tent up so after the movie everyone went to bed and we put our tent up at about 11pm. Saturday we went the demolition derby. Neither one of us had ever been to one and let me say it was quite the experience haha. We were in redneck central, but it was so fun. I had never been somewhere that people were purposely trying to crash into each other. Some of the cars started on fire, there were flat tires, trunks were bashed in, it was crazy! Glenn Beck even made an appearance he handed out the trophy's and rode around in the sheriff's derby car.
ONLY ONE FULL WEEK, THEN FINALS WEEK TILL GRADUATION!!!

Happy 4th of July!

This weekend was really fun, we had two extra days off of school to celebrate the 4th. We went canoeing on Saturday before fireworks. We got a good tan, and a bull moose walked right in front of us on the river. Fireworks were great as always but traffic was horrible as always. Now back to school. Only two and half more weeks before the semester is over!!

Free Fish Day

Saturday was free fish day. Since Colby does not have an idaho liscence this year we made the best of free fish day. We went out to our secret fishing spot that we caught a 22 in fish last year. We were not as lucky this year but we did get a good brown trout about 16 inches and a couple rainbows.
The Snake River out at Heise
Here is what the little rainbows looked like.
And the big fish of the day. He was chubby, but we set him free. It was sad cause he almost didn't make it probably because it took me forever to take my camera out. Poor guy!
This is just a cute barn and old truck out at Heise.
Here is my crazy fisherman. He is such a goof. The two of us fishing, it is a little difficult to get a picture of the two of us when we have no one to take the picture.
A nice sunset, but nothing like Arizona sunsets!
On Friday we went to Idaho Falls and we took some pictures of the temple.
While we were there, we saw some baby geese.
Oh and I had to post this picture, especially for Colby's family, when we were crossing the street we felt that we needed to carry on the tradition of crosswalk flag waving!

Wedding and Mountain Home

This past weekend I went to my friend Brooke's wedding. It was so fun to see old friends. She is so happy and married such a good guy! Congrats Brooke! Here are some pictures of the wedding fun.
While I was at the wedding Colby went to visit Rusty, a friend of his from his mission. Rusty loves to hunt like Colby so they went shed hunting and they both found a set of moose antlers. Colby was so excited. He also got to play with all of rusty's animals like a baby racoon, and horses.
I made a cute video of Colby's trip there with him playing with the horses and feeding the calf but I cannot figure out how to post it.  I exported the video from I-Movie and it puts it in M4V format and blogger only takes AVI, MPEG, Quicktime and those other ones.  So if anyone knows what I am doing wrong please tell me.
