3 PEAT

Yesterday my dad's football team, Saguaro, won the state championship for the 3rd year in a row! Go DAD! They beat their rival, Chaparral, 38-0.  It was such a fun game to watch.  Colby and I wish we could have been there with you dad!  Congrats!

Christmas Tree

This Thanksgiving we had dinner just the two of us, since we will be going down to Arizona in about 2 and 1/2 weeks for Christmas.  We missed our families so much but had fun making a turkey, stuffing, potatoes and pie all by ourselves.  On Saturday we cut down our Christmas Tree. I t was snowing outside but that just made it more interesting and fun.
We decided to do bows on the tree this year.
Colby even let us decorate the elk.

Suns Game

Yesterday we went to the Suns Jazz game in Salt Lake.  The Suns lost but we still had a really fun time.  My dad used to coach at the same college as Alvin Gentry the Suns assistant coach.  Coach Gentry got us some pretty good tickets and some post game passes to meet the players.   Here are some pictures of our night.
Nash was pretty upset about that call.
Coach Porter was not too happy!
Thanks Alvin Gentry for the tickets.

Happy Halloween

Tonight we went to the ward Halloween party.  Colby and I dressed up as Cindy Lou Who and The Grinch.  I have to let you know that dressing up to make a fool of himself is not something Colby enjoys doing.  In order to get him to dress like this there was some begging and promises made to hunt like crazy when we get back from the Kiabab.  But all his cooperation paid off because we won best dressed at the party. Here are some pictures of our costume.
Another Couple in our ward also dressed up as
Dr. Suess characters and their baby was such a cute cat in the hat.
Here is Ketchup and Mustard, and Aladin and Jasmine
And these were the hard core rockers

Getting into the Halloween Spirit

This year we decided that we are going to get a tree permit and cut down our own Christmas tree.  So during our hike on Friday morning we were looking for a good tree that we could come back to get in December.  We took pity on this tiny little tree laying on the ground.  So I decided that it would be fun to take it home and have a Halloween tree.  Of course Colby thought I was crazy as usual but he went with it.  We bought some orange spray paint and painted our tree to match the holiday.  And with the normal tradition of Halloween we bought a pumpkin, but we decided to throw out the carving tradition and bring in a painting one instead.  Here are some pictures of our adorable little Halloween decorations.

Sunday Walk

Like we do on a lot of Sunday's we took a walk but this Sunday we decided to walk up by the temple after conference.  Of coarse it was extremely windy, we are in Idaho.  Colby was "trying to set the timer"  to take a picture of the two of us, however, he snuck in some pictures of me. Obviously from the face I was unaware of this.  People say the best pictures are the ones taken when you do not expect it, apparently not in my case.
We did eventually get some decent pictures of the two of us.

Scrapbook Pages

A lot of people have been asking me where I found the website that does the scrapbook montage pages for the blog.  I actually made those scrapbook pages for our wedding then took pictures of them and used them on the blog.  Here are some new pages I made of mine and Colby's families.

Another Busy Week

We have been busy this week with work, cleaning and hunting.  We also bought a new couch! We absolutely love it, and we love it even more because we got such a great deal!  We have been looking for a sofa and trying to be patient so that we could find a good deal.  This couch is bigger than what we have been looking for but we couldn't pass it up!

Big Bulls, Big Bucks Mountain Roads and Pick Up Trucks

So all this week Colby and I have been making deals with each other.  Such as he goes to the gym "willingly" with me and I get up at 5am to go hunting with him.  (I love to sleep in so sometimes I complain in the morning, but I still go)   It has been fun but exhausting at the same time.  We have not been successful in our hunt YET.  On our way home Saturday night we saw a few big bucks, but they were on private property, so we are trying to get permission to hunt on their land.
Here is a picture the trail camera got of a deer.
On Saturday we got some rain and got a really good picture of a rainbow.
This is Colby thinking about how he is going to pick his mega wedgie
This is what Colby looks like when he gets caught picking the wedgie.
We will be sure to keep you posted when Colby gets that big buck!

Back to Square One

Well things have been kinda crazy lately.  Since we wrecked our Jeep, we have been looking around for a new one.  Anyway we found a very nice looking Jeep at an auction.  We flew down to Arizona so that we could drive it back up to Idaho.  Long story short, we had some problems with this new Jeep and ended up spending more time in Arizona than we expected.  We had packed for three days and didn't leave until a week and a few days later.  Once we thought all the kinks were worked out we headed out for Idaho.  10 hours and 600 miles later, we had a minor set back.  Colby's parents are so awesome and drove all the way to Salt Lake the next morning to bring us one of their trucks so we could make it to Idaho.  The down side is now we are going to sell the Jeep.
Here is a Picture of the Jeep we had for about a week.  It sure looks good!

But now we are driving this truck for a little bit until we can find something else.
